Behind the Baker

I'm an engineer turned baker, and while engineering may have been my career, baking is my passion.

My baking journey began in 2014 as a hobby. What started as a way to unwind quickly became my happy place, a form of therapy, creativity, and self-expression. Over the years, I've baked for family dinners, celebrations, birthdays, and countless get-togethers. I somehow became the self-appointed dessert bringer for every occasion, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!

One of my proudest milestones was creating my very first wedding cake in 2018. Seeing something I made become part of something to special reminded me why I love baking so much.

Every cake, cookie, and dessert I make is baked with love, care and only the best ingredients. Best believe that if I wouldn't eat it or serve it to my people, it simply isn't good enough to leave my kitchen. Everything I bake is something I'm proud of, and I won't hand it over until I'm completely happy with it. If only mortgages, insurance, and all of life's other expenses accepted payment in cookies... I'd have been a full-time baker years ago!

My ultimate dream is to turn this passion into my full-time career, to build a life sustained by doing what I truly love every single day.

If you asked me to describe my perfect day, it would be this: waking up well-rested, heading to the gym, followed by a chatty stroll with my sisters, while sipping on a beverage, of course. Then it's home for a shower before spending the day doing what makes me happiest: baking, baking, and more baking. The day ends with a sweet treat in hand, the house glowing with soft sunset light (never the big lights!), watching a good series, and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow.
